2017 Season Kicks Off In Style at Desert Diesel Nationals
29 Feb 2017 Marysville, WA - The 2017 NHRDA season kicked off in style this past weekend at the Desert Diesel Nationals presented by Strictly Diesel at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona. The event was the first event in the NHRDA Diesel Sled Pulling Series and the Hot Shot's Secret Diesel Drag Racing Series.
At the Sled Pulls on Friday night, Amalee Mueller took home the win in both Pro Stock and Limited Pro Stock and then grabbed a win in the Super Diesel class on Saturday making her the first competitor to win in three different classes at the same NHRDA event.
On Saturday the crowd saw a brand new E.T World Record set after Dustin Jackson shattered the previous record held by Jarid Vollmer. Jackson ran an 8.421 in qualifying and then backed it up in eliminations.
The Desert Diesel Nationals presented by Strictly Diesel not only included Sled Pulling and Drag Racing but also the Show N Shine presented by Iron Bull Bumpers, the Dyno Competition presented by One Stop Truck Shop and a huge Vendor Row!
The NHRDA will now headed to Northern California for the Nor Cal Diesel Nationals on April 7th and 8th at the Sacramento Raceway.
