The transmission's BD rigid aluminum heavy-duty pan adds an extra 3.5 quarts of oil capacity, reducing case flex and internal oil leakage. Equipped with heat-dissipating fins, a magnetic drain plug, and a new convertor lock-up valve to boost lock-up pressures, this transmission ensures optimal performance and temperature regulation.

Inside the transmission, modifications such as additional frictions, power pistons, hydraulics, return springs, increased main line oil pressure, and a modified separator plate result in short, crisp shifts. The introduction of new A & B trim valves, springs, and solenoids further enhances the transmission's responsiveness.
