NHRDA does not issue refunds for cancelled events. However, spectator wristbands remain valid for one year at any NHRDA event, and competitors receive points or rescheduling options if qualifying has not begun. Please review our Terms & Conditions for complete rainout policy details.

NHRDA hosts events at premier racetracks across the United States and Canada. Major venues include Firebird Motorsport Park (AZ), Tulsa Raceway Park (OK), Yellowstone Dragstrip (MT), and Texas Motorplex (TX). Check our Events page for the complete 2026 schedule and venue information.

Racing Classes

NHRDA offers 9 racing classes:
  • Professional: Top Diesel, Pro Mod, Pro Street, Hot Rod Semi
  • Sportsman & Index: Sportsman, Super Diesel (7.70), 6.70 Index, Super Street, Big Rig Bracket

The right class depends on your vehicle build, modifications, and performance capabilities. Sportsman classes are ideal for street trucks with basic modifications, while Professional classes are for highly modified race vehicles. Review the class specifications or contact us for guidance on which class best fits your truck.

All current NHRDA national records are listed on our Records page, including ET and MPH records for each class along with historical progression data showing how records have evolved over time.

No one under 16 years of age may operate any vehicle at NHRDA events. Age requirements for competition vary by class - consult the official rulebook for specific requirements and any restrictions for junior racers.

Registration & Entry

Bring your driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance. If you're a competitor, you'll also need to complete a W9 form for prize payouts. Download the W9 form and complete it before the event to save time.

Yes, day-of registration is typically available, but we strongly recommend pre-registering online to guarantee your spot and expedite check-in. Some events may have limited capacity, and pre-registration ensures your entry.

Membership

While membership is not always required for individual event participation, an NHRDA membership is necessary to compete for championship points and year-end awards. Membership also provides benefits like discounted entry fees and early event registration.

Spectators

Yes, spectator tickets are required for all NHRDA events. Tickets can be purchased online in advance or at the gate on event day. Pricing and ticket information is available on each event's page.

Absolutely! NHRDA events are family-friendly. Children under a certain age (varies by event) may receive free admission. Please supervise children at all times and ensure they wear proper hearing protection near the track.
